Exciting Training Delivered by Doug Griffiths: President & CEO 13 Ways Inc, Bestselling Author. Doug is a community enthusiast using his company 13 Ways Inc. to pursue his passion of helping communities, organizations and businesses grow stronger. Growing up on a ranch outside a small community was a great practical education for Doug, giving him a strong work ethic and critical thinking skills. He went on to also acquire an Honours BA Philosophy, followed by a B.Ed, and in 2016 completed the Executive MBA program at the University of Alberta. Education, whether he is learning or teaching, has always been an important aspect of his life. After teaching and ranching for several years, Doug successfully served as an elected Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Province of Alberta for four consecutive terms. Doug retired from politics in January 2015; now his passion lies in building strong communities. Whether those communities are towns, organizations, or businesses, Doug believes within strong communities’ leadership can succeed, businesses can prosper, and families can find a great quality of life.
NWT Tourism is trying something new! On Wednesday afternoon, we will welcome 10 presenters to each host a table for our breakout session. We will have 10 tables, each with an expert host to speak to a smaller group of conference attendees for 20 minutes. At the end of the 20 minutes the attendees will move on to a new table and the Host will stay in place for a new incoming group. We are excited for this format; it will provide our members the opportunity to have meaningful interactions with our Hosts in small groups. Attendees will be able to chose which tables they find the most relevant to their business. Our roster of hosts includes Lawyers, Government Officials, Travel Agents specializing in Northern travel, Destination Canada Representatives, and more.
For the most up to date information on the event, check our AGM & Conference website often. Details will be added as the schedule is finalized.
