We are requesting some feedback from you on two topics highlighted below.

As most of you are aware we are experiencing many issues around air access to the NWT and within the NWT.  Resolution #1 from our 2022 AGM reflects the ongoing issues that we have been experiencing. For reference you can read the resolution here.  We are continuing to have conversations with many different airlines in hopes to improve service to and within the NWT, and we are very happy to share the announcement that Canadian North will now be offering daily flight service between Yellowknife and Calgary, and will be increasing their Edmonton service. Information on Canadian North's New Route 

We know the issues with air travel are global, and there are many factors that have an impact on the air service that we so heavily depend on, but we need to keep having discussions with the airlines in order to better serve your businesses.  We still have a way to go to bring air service back to what it once was for the NWT and to hopefully increase the level of services we receive overall. We plan to keep working to assist our industry as best as we can.  In order to help us with our discussions we are asking if you could please share with us specific examples of how your business has been affected by the current state of air travel to and within the NWT. I have heard from many of you, but if you could please take a minute or two to send me an email with some details about how your current and future business has been impacted I would appreciate it.  It is very helpful to have specifics and to have a good understanding of the magnitude of how this is affecting your businesses and our industry.

NWT Tourism is always looking for the best way to support our members, and we are wondering what Consumer shows in the US our members are attending in order to see if there are ways we can potentially amplify our presence in those markets. If you could please send me an email and let me know which Consumer shows you plan to attend in the US that would be very helpful.
