Last week the Federal Government announced new targeted support measures for businesses that are still facing significant pandemic related challenges including the Tourism and Hospitality Recovery and the Hardest Hit Business Recovery programs. Also, the federal government has re-introduced a dedicated Minister of Tourism. We are happy to welcome the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, appointed as Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance. This is great news for our industry, and shows this government's acknowledgement of the importance of our industry to Canada's overall economic wellbeing. In our work on the national front, primarily through the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) and the Provincial and Territorial Industry Association (PTTIA), we look forward to working with the new Minister.
