Congratulations to writers Margo Pfeiff, TV Chosun and Fiona Tapp for creating spectacular stories that feature the Northwest Territories.

Each year the annual Explore Canada Awards of Excellence recognize contributions to storytelling that inspire travellers to explore Canada. This year, stories featuring the Northwest Territories won in three awards categories:

Canadian freelancer Margo Pfeiff won for her article which ran in The Globe and Mail, "Hidden Canada: Inuvik, Northwest Territories" which featured the Western Arctic.

The television program TV Chosun from South Korea won for the TV program "My Wife's Secret Recipe", which featured footage and adventures in and around Yellowknife.

American writer Fiona Tapp of the Lonely Planet won for "Go North; Reindeer Herding in the Northwest Territories", featuring the Western Arctic.

Winners were chosen by judges who possess a robust understanding of excellence in their respective markets and fields. Award-winning journalists and industry members were celebrated this week during GoMedia Canada, Destination Canada’s premier travel media event.
