Dear members,
There is still time to register for the upcoming Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Town Hall, scheduled to take place on April 4th, 2023 at the Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife. The Town Hall will run from 9 am to 4 pm and will be followed by a reception from 4 to 5 pm. The event is free to attend and pre-registration is required and open until the morning of April 4th.
The Town Hall will include discussions on best practice related to innovation and sustainability, and will host a variety of speakers including Anne-Marie Forcier, Director of Programs at TIAC, Sébastien Desnoyers-Picard, VP of Operations at ITAC, and Sebastien Dubois, Executive Director Industry Partnerships at Destination Canada.
Mark Heyck, Executive Director at Arctic Energy Alliance will speak on renewable energy systems and the role they play in cost savings and GHG reductions. Moreover, Benjamin Scott, Founding Director and Co-Lead at EntrepreNorth will offer insights on how a culture of sustainability and innovation is now being encoded into an uprising of Indigenous businesses in a culturally grounded way.
The event will end with a Q&A session that will allow tourism stakeholders to provide input and receive feedback.
The Town Hall is a full day of engaging programming, networking, open discussion, and offers the opportunity to ask industry leaders anything. It also includes a complimentary gourmet lunch, tea & coffee dessert breaks, and a reception.
