With unprecedented challenges facing NWT residents and the tourism industry, NWT Tourism along with the GNWT-ITI is continuing on with important research that will inform destination marketing plans and help to optimize activities, timing and messaging that will support the rebuild and recovery of the NWT’s tourism industry, when the time is right.
The research is being undertaken by Leger, a leading Canadian research and analytics firm, who will be gathering feedback from residents about tourism through telephone interviews and an online survey. We launched the first wave on October 1st, and this second wave is now underway and will take several weeks to complete. After this wave of the survey, the research will consist of two more waves of outreach to residents.
