Tourism Week 2020 runs from May 24-May 30, 2020, and this year we are facing a Tourism Week like no other.
Tourism Week is normally a time for a national annual celebration of Canada’s tourism industry, workers, and captivating attractions that welcome visitors from home and abroad. However, this year is different. Canada’s tourism sector was first hit and hardest hit by the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic and will be one of the last sectors to recover. This is on the national front, as well as in the Northwest Territories.
As long as borders remain closed, we know that the effect on our tourism industry will continue to be profound.
